he delicious berry fruit and spice flavours of the cooler climate grapes from the Joppich Vineyard in Langhorne Creek gives the Blue Eyed Boy its crowd appeal. We blend it with McLaren Vale Shiraz to add intensity, vibrancy and richness. This year the McLaren Vale fruit came from the Gateway and Kirwin Vineyards and was picked on 3-10 March. The Joppich fruit was picked on 24-27 March. - Winery

Ink-dark, with a savory edge to the layers of black cherry, red plum, raspberry and licorice that rise up from the velvety tannins, forming a generous, plush finish. Best from 2016 through 2020. 7,049 cases made. –HS - Wine Spectator Magazine 92 Points
A 100% McLaren Vale blend aged one year in 90% new American oak, the deep purple-black colored 2012 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz shows beautiful black fruit, warm cassis and mulberry notes with a spot of preserved plums, anise and yeast extract. This very spicy, very big and full-bodied wine is rich, viscous and concentrated. It finishes long and just a little warm. Drink it now to 2020+. - Robert Parker 91+ Points
