The nose on this vintage evolves dramatically from its first few moments in the glass. Initial top notes of Spanish lavender and brambles are followed by graphite, Asian plum, and cassis. Moments later, inviting fragrances of burnt vanilla caramel greet the taster. As it presents, the palate is balanced in its weighty structure. Round, well framed tannins encompass a plush core of mixed berry compote. Flavors are reminiscent of mocha dusted bakers chocolate and dark cherries. - Winery
