Everything comes together beautifully in this textured, yet mid-weight, expressive Barbaresco. Spices, menthol and licorice linger on the impeccable, harmonious finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027.
There's sweetness here from oak, lending vanilla and spice flavors to the cherry and licorice. The fine-grained tannins are well-integrated in this balanced, supple wine, with nice length. Best from 2012 through 2025. –BS
