The blend is approx. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo, Mammolo and Colorino (Tuscany's own, classic complements to the former), from the superb Cervognano cru. The resulting Nobile is structured, complex, extremely cellar-worthy: brilliant, deep ruby with garnet hues, the bouquet recalls plums and blueberries in youth, evolving to iris and violets; fruity, full, firm, elegant and persistent palate.
Deep ruby w/garnet hues, lovely nose of dried herbs, leather, earth, vanillin, violets, iris, strawberry jam & plenty of plummy, blueberry, flavorful fruit on a palate made supple & appealing by the silky tannins & black cherry finish. - Winery
A brilliant balance between the cherry, currant and floral side of Sangiovese and its earth, leather and tobacco elements gives this red appeal. The structure is well-integrated, and the wine shows elegance and finesse overall. Best from 2017 through 2024. 3,500 cases made.–BS - Wine Spectator Magazine 93 Points
