Tasting notes:
Depth of colour. Notes of black fruit, embellished with chocolate and a delicious light toasted note. Round and appealing in the mouth. Surprisingly, the complex tasting registers do not prevent it from being a remarkably easy wine to drink.
Pairing:
Poultry, game, red meat and pulses. Cold meat and cured ham. Cured, flavourful cheeses. - Winery
(malo in French oak, followed by 10 to 15 months of aging in small French oak barrels): Bright violet color. Dark berry and cherry aromas are complicated by hints of cocoa powder and cola. A jolt of cracked pepper adds spiciness and lift to the sweet, seamless blackberry and blueberry flavors, with a smoky element emerging with air. Focused and structured but in no way hard, this aggressively priced cabernet finishes with appealing spiciness and gentle tannins. - Josh Raynolds - Vinous 90 Points
The 2012 Vega Sindoa Cabernet Sauvignon spent 10-15 months in French oak. Its dense purple color is followed by notes of tobacco leaf, spice box, licorice and cassis. This medium-bodied Cabernet could easily compete with top Bordeaux cru bourgeois wines that sell for 2-3 times the price. This is another amazing value. - Robert Parker 87 Points
Juicy currant and licorice flavors mingle with toast and tar notes in this firm red. Features muscular tannins and sweet-tart acidity, turning a bit candied on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 3,000 cases made. –TM - Wine Spectator Magazine 87 Points
