    Description:
The Secret Reserve range of wines is created in pursuit of balance. For over a century an ancient mirror hanging in the Santa Rita Estate has kept the secrets of the dances held, toasts made and the moments shared. Like each and every mirror, each glass of Santa Rita Secret Reserve wine will be filled with stories that begin as soon as you share the bottle. Each wine is created by blending grape varieties and diverse expressions for the most balanced, delicious sip. In this wine, Pinot Noir grapes from three of Chile's top regions are blended together in pursuit of balance: fruit & freshness from Casablanca, backbone & juiciness from Colchagua Costa, and elegance & roundness from Maipo Alto.

    Vinification:
The grapes from the three valleys were picked separately at the peak of ripeness and vinified separately. The wines were blended prior to malolactic fermentation; part of the wine had contact with American oak.

    Color: Moderately intense purplish-red

Nose: Nose offers blueberry, cherry and floral notes plus a sweet touch of vanilla, caramel and roasted coffee

Palate: Abundant fruity intensity finishing with fresh and juicy acidity.

    Alcohol: 13.5%
    pH: 3.56
    RS: 2.44 g/l
    TA: 5.07 g/l

Layered and very pretty with very fine tannins and ripe strawberry and lightly toasted oak. Medium to full body. Pretty finish. Gorgeous. Drink now. - James Suckling 93 Points

    Pros:
    Cons:
This is not going to change the life of any pinotphile, but it may leave a few more dollars in your pocket for an everyday drinker. Strawberries, cassis, and cola, but no mushrooms (whaddya want at this price?), this is bright, down-the-middle pinot, stunningly good for the entry fee, and worlds better than the $15 crap at your local wine emporium.
