    Vineyards & Winemaking:
The original vineyards for this wine were planted as far back as the late 1700s. The vines are located more than 800 meters above sea level and are irrigated from the mineral rich water from snow melting on the Andes mountains. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged in a blend of new and recently used French oak for up to 14 months.

    Taste:
An aromatic melody of black currant, cherry and cassis rises above a harmonious backdrop of tobacco, mocha and toasty oak. On the palate, juicy, dark berry fruit cascades across your tongue followed by a trickle of sweet spice and savory plums.

    Why we selected this wine:
These days Argentina is more likely known for its delightfully suave and easy-sipping Malbec than for Cabernet. However, there is no better way to make a splash on the international market than by demonstrating you can make great Cabernet. Both Cabernet and Malbec can be traced back to similar origins in France, and therefore there seems to be no apparent reason why Cabernet thrive here. This wine is a great introduction into the power, potential and crowd-pleasing nature of Argentine Cabernet.

    Pros:
    Cons:
An excellent cabernet sauvignon from an unexpected source at an extraordinary price, this wine fills the mouth with blackberry, plum, and citrus underpinnings along with a hint of cinnamon. More than a bottle for an unimportant event as its price might suggest, this wine affirms the premise upon which 90+ cellars operates: namely, fine wine at an affordable price.
