STYLE:
The bouquet of this Merlot is complex with violets, sweet plums, rosemary, and vanilla bean. On the palate, the wine is velvety and soft in texture, with flavors of juicy plums, blackberries, and Bing cherries, and a long cocoa powder finish and fine tannins.
WINEMAKING:
Handpicked at the peak of flavor development, the 2013 Merlot was crushed and cold soaked for 24 hours. The must was punched down daily to maximize flavor extraction, followed by a 7-10 day extended maceration.
SOURCING:
Premium wine growing regions throughout the state including Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
Cooperage Treatment: Oak aged with new French oak for 14 months.
