Dark Horse Double Down combines notes of ripe blackberries and raspberries layered with toasted oak and warm brown spice, complemented by slight hints of mocha. Winemaking Notes:
For this limited release Dark Red Blend, grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness which allows for easy and early extraction of the rich, concentrated color and produces velvety tannins. Fermentation temperatures were kept between 88ºF and 92ºF which creates more intense characteristics and fruitier aromatics. After fermentation, the wine was aged to add complexity and structure to this dark, luxurious and bold Red Blend.
