    VINEYARDS:

Andrews & Rowell: Located in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation of the Columbia Valley, this unique site is early to harvest, with ripe, intense dark fruit characteristics and tannins on the softer end of the spectrum.

Upland: Located in the Snipes Mountain AVA of the Columbia Valley, very close to Yakima. The vineyard soil is complex, with large cobblestones deposited by an ancient flow of the Columbia River and windblown silt, sand, and clay. All of this combines to produce wine with solid structure and complex flavors.

Goldenwest: Situated on the Western Edge of Washington’s newest AVA, Royal Slope, this vineyard sits at 1600ft overlooking the Columbia River. Its temperate climate helps the fruit to retain natural acidity and allows for sustained, even ripening of fruit.

    VINTAGE:

The 2019 vintage saw a cooler growing season than normal, beginning with record snow in February that delayed spring bud break. A summer with few heat spikes proved excellent for ripening, producing intensely concentrated grapes. The result is a wine with the rich, bold flavor Merlot fans look for.

    TASTING NOTES:

Aroma: deep bouquet of brown sugar, violets and dark fruit permeate the nose.

Tasting profile: full and harmonic on the palate, with notes of crushed plum and blackberry, followed by hints of cinnamon and sweet spices. Earthy notes and dried herb on the finish.
