    Notes:

Quimera is architecture and design; it is a unique warm-blend that was conceived at the vineyard. Every year Santiago and Roberto look for the meaning within the earth in the search for the impossible wine, making it unique year after year.

Thus resulting in a wine with deep shades, aromas that range from stony and earthy, of dark fruits to delicate accents of rosemary, open mouthed, almost feminine and deliciously sour.

Quimera is heuristic; it is personal discovery and the search of perfection.

Tarry, fiery aromas of berry fruits and oaky spice lead to an iron-fisted palate with rubbery tannins. This blend of Malbec, Cab Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot tastes of savory berry fruits and plum. The finish is spicy and delivers lushness and beefy weight. Drink through 2022. - Wine Enthusiast Magazine 91 Points

(aged in 70% new and 30% once-used oak for a year): Bright ruby. The nose showcases the Cabernets in the early going, offering scents of cassis, blackberry, dark plum, meat, mocha and tobacco leaf. Plush and fairly full--much less austere in the middle than the 2013 version and showing more easy sweetness than that wine but perhaps not quite the same ripeness. Flavors of dark berries, menthol and herbs are supple and smooth but possess good reserve. The suave tannins are nicely integrated, and a finishing note of licorice contributes firmness. - Vinous Media 91 Points

This has a juicy core of dark fruit flavors that are supported by medium-grained tannins. Creamy midpalate, with a finish of chocolate and spice, accented by herbal hints. Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2020. 4,700 cases made. -KM - Wine Spectator Magazine 90 Points
