    As Sardinia's foremost wine producer, Sella & Mosca is renowned for premium wines made exclusively from estate-grown grapes.     Production Area:

    Selected portions of the Sella & Mosca estate¡¯s Cannonau vineyards with clay and sand soils, near the port of Alghero in the northwest corner of Sardinia.

    Grape Varieties: 100% Cannonau

    Vinification:
    The grapes are harvested manually and mechanically in late autumn and undergo fermentation in stainless steel vats for fifteen days at 72-79¢ªF. Aged two years in large Slavonian oak barrels with an additional several months in bottle prior to release.

    Color:
    Initially dark, ruby red, during maturation it loses intensity and takes on a warmer tone

    Bouquet:
    Mesmerizing scent, redolent of violets

    Taste:
    Warm, dry, and harmonious with plumy fruit flavors and an aristocratic oak overtone.
