Light orange-pink with a delicate bead. Subdued, slow-to-open aromas of redcurrant, strawberry, blood orange and Asian spices, with a dusty mineral underpinning. Nervy and focused on the palate, which offers tangy red fruit and citrus flavors and a lashing of spice and chalk. Finishes surprisingly masculine, leaving behind traces of bitter cherry skin and orange. - Stephen Tanzer 91 Points
The NV Brut Rose Grand Cru (base vintage 2006) is built on a core of persistent chalkiness and minerality that frames the expressive fruit. Here the Chardonnay (55%) is higher than many roses in the village. The wine sees full malolactic fermentation and 6 grams of dosage. Disgorged: early July, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. - Robert Parker 89 Points
