Notes:
Really intense aromatics of pomegranate and Bing cherry with a delicate hint of sexy toasted oak. The attack is all red fruit compote. Thinking it reminds me of a bowl of strawberries, cranberries, and cherry pie filling dusted with a hint of cinnamon. There is a considerable amount of Pinot richness and sweetness as you would expect. The acidity is well balanced and helps preserve the sensation of velvet well into the finish. I can’t think of a better wine to celebrate the holidays, or anything for that matter. I like to serve this with a bit of a chill on it so a few minutes in the fridge shouldn’t be out of the question. As expected, this wine would pair quite well with turkey, ham, salmon, and perhaps a mushroom-laden pasta dish.
