    TASTING NOTES:

This Big Smooth Zinfandel has intense aromas of plum, black cherry, fig, and beautiful notes of fresh bramble fruit. This big, ripe, and juicy wine is rich on the palate with lush fruit flavors framed by toasty coconut and Tahitian vanilla. The silky-smooth tannins are pronounced and mouthcoating, leading to a rich, full-bodied palate where juicy fruit flavors of boysenberry and pomegranate mingle with freshly shaved coconut and subtle brown baking spice notes – everything working together harmoniously, for Big Smooth satisfaction.

    WINEMAKING:

Our 2017 Big Smooth Zinfandel fruit comes from some great old vine Zinfandel vineyards in the heart of Lodi, California. Lodi, a region known for growing some outstanding Zinfandel with unique characteristics, has a Mediterranean climate of warm days, cool nights and deep, rich loamy soils. The Zinfandel from this region is known for being rich, flavorful and deeply concentrated.

    Pros:
    Cons:
Tastes more like an acidic pinot noir (my least fav grape) and after trying two small glasses of this wine, dumped the rest. Life is too short to drink bad wine!
