    ARROWOOD:
Our home vineyard and tasting room are located in the historic Sonoma Valley, a swath of land tucked between the Mayacamas and Sonoma Mountain ranges. While we source wines throughout Sonoma County, we have found three specific AVAs where Cabernet Sauvignon takes on its most powerful terroir-driven expressions: Sonoma, Knights and Alexander Valleys. By sourcing fruit from these three legendary locations, Arrowood wines showcase Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon at its very best.

    SONOMA VALLEY:
Within Sonoma Valley, we source from hillside and bench-land vineyards from both the Sonoma Mountain and Moon Mountain sub-AVAs. Key to these sites are the rocky volcanic soils, producing highly concentrated fruit with a distinct expression. The fog from the San Pablo Bay creates a large variation between day and night time temperatures (high diurnal shift), which lends itself to achieving optimal ripeness and plush tannins while maintaining fresh acidity and bright fruit character.

    TASTING NOTES:
The 2014 Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is red fruit dominated, with dark cherry and huckleberry accompanied by floral tones of chicory and violet. Roasted coffee and a hint of anise appear on the palate along with a smooth and opulent mouthfeel and weighty texture.

    COMPOSITION:
    94% Cabernet Sauvignon
    6% Merlot

    Alcohol: 14.3%
    pH: 3.58
    Total Acidity: 0.59 g/100 ml

Arrowood's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Estates is plump, juicy and absolutely delicious. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, licorice and savory notes are nicely delineated in a juicy, vibrant wine that will drink well right out of the gate. This is a superb entry-level Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon. The Sonoma Estates is an on-premise wine only and will sell for $15 by the glass.- Antonio Galloni 91 Points

From various sites across appellations, this well-made red offers soft, smooth tannins and full-bodied ripeness, the flavors defined by cherry, vanilla, oak and clove. It's ready for steak. - Wine Enthusiast Magazine 90 Points

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Estates is essentially a wine only available to the restaurant trade that sells for $15 a glass. It is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other Bordeaux varieties. It is a well-made, straightforward, elegant wine with pretty black cherry and loamy soil notes intermixed with some blacker currants. Round, juicy and ideal for near-term consumption, at this price, it’s a steal. - Robert Parker 86 Points
