    TASTING NOTES:
Medium red with bright ruby red hues, this wine confidently takes charge with Intense lifted mocha, caramel and sweet spice aromatics balanced with raspberry and blackberry fruits. Full and round on the palate with a distinct sweetness making the wine rich and mouth coating. The mocha and sweet spice aromatics carry through on the palate and compliment subtle flavours of brown sugar and cinnamon. The palate has a long rich plush finish filled with jammy blackberry and raspberry flavours.

    VINTAGE CONDITIONS:
The growing season leading up to the 2017 vintage was challenging with extreme, sometimes isolated weather events resulting in some vineyards being hit by storm and hail. With a cool start to the season and with good soil moisture profiles, vintage commencement was generally late, running 3 – 4 weeks behind past seasons. The cooler weather and delayed ripeness, favoured good varietal fruit flavour development in the whites and strong varietal fruit flavour and good colour, across the main stream red varieties. Patience was needed to allow the red fruit to properly mature and to manage the risks associated with a late completion to harvesting.
