VINTAGE NOTES:
The 2017 growing season was cooler and crop yields were significantly lower in comparison to the past two vintages. The cooler spring temperatures along with ample soil moisture from precipitation and spring rainfall, delayed ripening and helped to retain fresh fruit aromatics and acidity. Rainfall was minimal from mid-May to mid-August and temperatures were above average in July and August.
RECOMMENDED FOOD PAIRINGS:
Tomato-Basil Bruschetta, Eggplant Parmesan, Herb Crusted Prime Rib, Grilled Beef Steak, Hearty Venison Stew
TASTING NOTES:
The 14 Hands Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, juicy red that features aromas of dark cherry, black currant, coffee and subtle hints of spice. These flavors are complemented by a touch of spicy oak and emphasized by refined tannins.
