Gewurztraminer was the first new vineyard planted by Marti and Tom Macinski at Standing Stone Vineyards. The first vines were planted in 1994 and included 4 different clones of Gewurztraminer. The vineyard site is on a steep hillside with thin soils and lots of slate. The combination of soil, slate and sun exposure contribute to an exceptional Gewurztraminer. - Winery
Classic Standing Stone Vineyards Riesling. While the residual sugar says “semi dry” many are fooled into believing it is dry. This wine is lively, with round, full notes of tangerine and other exotic fruits. A hint of acidity balances the wine perfectly. The finish is a pleasant, flinty lift. Saperavi is a grape native to the Republic of Georgia, where the word means "ink." It's an appropriate description for the wines that Saperavi makes.It is dense and full, but soft and mellow in the mouth.
