This pretty pink blend has the old-time flair of the sweet Catawba grape that was first cultivated by settlers in this area two centuries ago.  Native American variety, Catawba was blended with a splash of Cayuga to provide a light, fruity wine that’s perfect with appetizers, picinic lunches and sharing with friends.  - Winery

Clone #198 could become the most celebrated Riesling clone in the Finger Lakes. We harvest the fruit for the Reserve Riesling late in the season, when it reaches a maximum level of ripeness We extend the fermentation process over an extended period of time to produce a rich, round Riesling in the German style.The finished wine typically possesses a higher level of residual sugar which makes it possible to age this wine for more than ten years. - Winery

THE WINE: Medium intensity with dominant characters of blackberry, plum, black cherry and chickory and toasted rye. The fresh acidity makes it feel lighter on the palate. Dry with velvety tannins. Light to medium-bodied. FOOD PAIRING: Tomato-based Sauces, Blackened Salmon, Hard Cheeses, Grilled Vegetables.

Winemaking and Aging:55% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier. The grapes were hand-picked into small 40kg crates with careful bunch selection in the vineyard. The Chardonnay whole cluster grapes were immediately pressed while the red grapes are cold soaked for 24 hours being pressing. From harvest to pressing, extreme care is used in handling the grapes to avoid any excessive crushing or bruising. The nose presents a combination of blackberry, raisin, prune and apricot aromas that lengthen with oaky and spicy tones.  On the palate, this wine displays great elegance with good acidity, moderate tannins and bright berry fruit.  Opening this wine early will benefit the tasting, allowing the wine to breathe. - Winery

Vinification:This sparkling wine, made in the traditional Cremant style, is made entirely from Riesling. The Riesling is pressed whole-cluster in membrane presses thereby extracting a minimum of phenolic. Following the Cremant method, the Célèbre is aged “sur lies” after the estate tirage. This dry Riesling, presenting a green gold hue, displays the traditional qualities of Dr. Frank’s Riesling: crisp acidity, a pronounced mineral character and layers of mango, citrus and pear blossoms in the nose.  Descriptors include apple and pear with a full-bodied taste along with minerality resulting from the slate terroir of the vineyard.  The ripeness of the grapes resulted in a great texture with a lingering fruity finish.  This wine has great ageing potential. -...

This wine shows the characteristic aromas of grapefruit, lime, lychee, banana and the spiciness associated with the Gewürztraminer variety. The slight residual sugar balances the phenolic elements typical of Gewürztraminer with the complexity of mineral overtones that presents the wine with a long, clean fresh finish. Our Merlot shows the qualities that have made this grape variety a favorite.  With aromas of ripe plums, fennel and smoky oak notes.  This vintage of Merlot has a mouthfeel of black pepper and a robust fruity finish. - Winery

Our Semi Dry Riesling, presenting a light golden hue, shows a fruitier less mineral character than the dry Riesling. The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruity aromas of honey, tropical fruits, pineapple and pear. The mouthfeel is very pleasant with a good balance between the residual sugar and the acidic backbone typical of Riesling with a long finish. This Semi-dry Riesling is very enjoyable with spicy food or just on its own. - Winery

The Rkatsiteli shows its characteristic fruity complexity resulting from early bottling. Along with the intense fruit are the typical spicy notes as well as pineapple and mango notes. The wine is presented in a dry version with the crisp acidity, the residual sugar and the tremendous fruit providing a very pleasant balance. The Rkatsiteli remains one of Dr. Frank’s greatest achievements in the Finger Lakes. - Winery
