Amarone Proemio shows mature fruit aromas of black cherry and blackberry jam backed by elegant tones of clove, pepper, cola and cedar wood. The wine represents a smooth, clean and traditional style that would pair with grilled steak or roast pork.

The style of the Valpolicella reds highlights generous aromas and taut palates rather than power, often with excellent results. The 06 Amarone Proemio is penalized by a too-early release but shows considerable potential and simply requires further time in bottle.
