"The p-wave is the primary wave in an earthquake. We named this wine PWAVE because it shakes up the traditional blend of Bordeaux-heritage grape varietals,” says Winemaker Chris Cooney. “We’ve added non-traditional varietals to a solid core of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing lively, bright red-plum and raspberry to the rich, black cherry and blackberry profile. A nice dose of new oak barrels adds spice, while the cool 2011 vintage gives complex herbal nuances. The tannin structure is firm, yet extremely supple, giving the wine notable elegance." - Winery
