Patton Valley lies outside all of the Willamette Valley’s six new sub-AVAs, not far from Yamhill-Carlton. This estate wine has an ethereal scent of fresh raspberries, grounded with a whiff of tree bark and earth. The flavors remain fresh and exuberant – as if red cherries would burst from the glass were it not for the earthy savory checking the fruit. It has the structured, savory presence for veal with truffles. (2,450 cases) - Wine & Spirits Magazine 92 Points
Light in color and texture, with pretty berry and watermelon flavors reminiscent of a good rosé, lingering well. Drink now. 2,450 cases made. –HS - Wine Spectator Magazine 88 Points
The medium ruby-colored 2007 Pinot Noir Estate Grown is a forward, easy-going wine with spice box, smoke, and red fruit aromas. On the palate ample savory fruit is buttressed by lively acidity. Drink this pleasant, spicy effort over the next 6 years. - Robert Parker 87 Points
Pale, vivid red. Fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas are complemented by dusty mineral and floral notes. Tangy red fruit flavors are tightly wound and a bit firm, with good back-end cut. I like this wine's clarity and focus but the vintage has left its mark. - Stephen Tanzer 87 Points
