Our Sauvignon Blanc possesses delightful mineral notes with honeysuckle and passion fruit aromas along with fresh melon, lime and grapefruit flavors. To achieve the crisp minerality and bright acidity in the wine, we harvest at night for optimal fruit freshness that ensures our signature style Sauvignon Blanc.
“Early, even and excellent” are three words being used to describe this year’s growing season. A warm, dry spring brought early bud break and created ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set under sunny skies. Temperatures were consistently in the zone for optimal vine activity, resulting in healthy vines as fruit went through veraison and started ripening.
White wine grapes came in at a furious pace throughout August, moving on to lighter reds by early September. Sunny weather with breezes followed brief rains, allowing for the reds that remained to dry out almost immediately. Cooler, sunny weather throughout October allowed the remaining grapes to linger longer with sugar levels remaining steady.
Winemakers from around the valley agree the 2013 vintage holds exceptional promise and potential and exceeded expectations following on the heels of 2012 – another year that has been described as “nearly perfect.”
