    Tasting notes:
Very intense cherry red colour with tones of purple. Presents in the nose a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruit with floral nuances. In the mouth it is a well structured rich wine that evokes tastes of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with a soft and silky tannin. - Winery

The terrific 2012 Tres Picos is one of the finest inexpensive, Grenache-based wines made in the world. This full-bodied beauty boasts a deep ruby color as well as loads of strawberry and black cherry fruit, hints of lavender and crushed rocks, sweet tannin, and a broad, savory mouthfeel. It, too, should be consumed over the next 3-4 years. - Robert Parker 92 Points

(half fermented in French oak and half in stainless steel): Bright purple. Heady aromas of blueberry, cherry compote, white pepper and woodsmoke, plus an exotic cinnamon note. Fresh and seamless, offering vibrant blueberry and black raspberry flavors and suave floral notes. The spicy quality lingers seductively on the tenacious finish. -- Josh Raynolds - Vinous 92 Points

Smoke and mineral notes frame the ripe fruit flavors of blackberry and cassis, accented by toast and chocolate flavors. Round and smooth, presenting well-integrated tannins and enough acidity for balance. Drink now through 2018. 10,000 cases made. –TM - Wine Spectator Magazine 88 Points
