    Tasting Notes:
Bright straw color. Aroma white flowers, fresh fruit, expressive, fine lees, dried herbs. Boca tasty, fruity, good acidity, balanced.

    Grapes:
The Godello vineyards, planted in 1975, are grown on the slopes of the mountains, terrace system.

    Soil:
The soil composition is metamorphic limestone, but you can see something of granite in other vineyards of this denomination. The strains are grown at 1350-1650 ft. (450-550 m) above sea level.

    Winemaking:
Alistair Gardner, New Zealand winemaker, has created Avancia Godello of the indigenous variety of Godello, using the latest technology to express the best of this variety and land it comes from. The grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets to avoid damage to the fruit, to prevent damage to the fruit. Are selected only the best grapes. It is fermented in French oak barrels large (500-600L); the breeding process is 7 months and takes place in the same type of barrels. - Winery

Godello, an intriguing white grape, is indigenous to Spain, particularly in the mountains and hillsides of Galicia in northwest Spain. The Avancia offerings from the appellation of Valdeorras reveal the texture of a good Chardonnay as well as a beautiful perfume that moves in the direction of tropical fruit, but with lots of rocky minerality. The 2013 Cuvée de O (100% Godello) was fermented in oak (25%) and stainless steel (75%), and aged sur-lie for six months. It exhibits notes of nectarines, honeyed grapefruit and wet rocks, a surprisingly good texture, medium body, and beautiful purity as well as freshness. Enjoy it over the next year. - Robert Parker 87 Points
